Sem Break Now! HOHO! Sem 2 is OVER!
It's finally over. Semester 2.
It was a tough semester. Started to stress out.
There's a lot of pressures. From environment, classmates, lecturers and also myself.
In Sem 2, I had Illustration, CIS (Corporate Identity System), Packaging 1, Visual Communication 2 and Photography 1.
Let's start with illustration.
My lecturer is Mr.Mok. The cutest lecturer ever.
He's humor and friendly BUT he's strict to student's work.
In his class, B is already very good. He called it, BAGUS. LOl.C is Cantik.
His marking sheet starts with A++, A+, A, A-, A=, B++, B+, B, B-, B=,... etc.
See, how many grades he created. C is just pass. Below than that, congrats, you failed.
The class is fun but the assignments he given are so much pressured.
Seriously I never get any grade B in figure sketching (portraits). My best work is only C++. LOL. Well, I don't even know I can draw portrait until I started his class. I never try to draw any portrait before that.
I learnt a lot in his class. I do improved my drawing skills. I'm thinking to do some practices in this sem break. :)
Other than figure sketching, we also have other assignments (of course).
We did storyboard (pencil, ink & marker), some circles and lines to practice our hands to draw smoother, some exercises of drawing motion, muscles and stuffs, acrylic paintings!
I did two acrylic paintings, A3 and A2 size.
The first acrylic painting ain't easy at all. It's not what I expected.
Mr.Mok showed us some examples and those examples are totally insane! :O
Realistic work, very nice work... Owh, I feel so ashamed :(
I did learnt some skills in acrylic painting. I didn't even know acrylic can actually paint like watercolor!
Okay, here's my first painting:
When I finished packaging assignments,
I feel relieved~~~
Visual Communication 2. Lecturer: Mr.Tay.
He's strict and experienced. (Well, every lecturer is strict and experienced. LOL)
My first impression of him. A bit scary cause he's a punctual guy, late for 15 mins, you're late. Late for 30 mins you're consider absent.
Other than that, why I feel scared? 'Cause we didn't really learn much in visual comm 1 (computer graphic). We only have basic skills, other classmates (it's a joined class with gd79 and gd80,...) are much skillful than we are.
He teaches things efficiently which mean kinda fast, sometimes I will get blur and couldn't catch up. The good thing is, he's willing to teach. How to say, some lecturer just let you figure out by yourself (like, my packaging lecturer).
He will ask us do we have any questions, he make sure we learn from him.
He consults our works, he give us comments, I like him. :)
Sometimes he consults my work, I always ask him questions, ask him what should I do and stuffs. He wouldn't say no and teach us patiently.
Lastly, Photography 1!
HOHOHO! I love this subject the most!
The most relaxing subject ever! Had a lot of fun in photography class :)
I even bought one DSLR! ahahhahahahah! Thanks to my dad who sponsor me half of the price. :)
I'm using Nikon D3100. I bought it with the price of 1.7k.
My lecturer is Mr.Low, the only photography lecturer. LOL.
I learnt so many skills and things in his class. I realized photography is a very profound thing. You will always explore something new, endless and amazing adventure.
I will have a post about photography class soon. Stay stunned. :)
In Sem 2,
I just kept rushing my works and I don't even notice how fast the time can pass.
I felt stress in sem 2, honestly. I do feel like crying but I didn't. Thanks to MUSIC, always there for me. Once I get stress, I get back to the olden me, the emotional me. SIGH. I don't like it.No choice, I always fail my EQ. LOL.
I spent around 900 bucks on my assignments in Sem 1 and 2. Most of it are spent in sem 2.
Can't believe I spent 2.7 k for only sem 1 and 2. I can't imagine how much I have to spend for the rest of semester. :/ I'm so scare, would my bank account afford to support me that. :(
According to my survey, I spent a lot on FOOD too. LOL.
I have to save my money! I have to diet too!!!
What's entertainment? I rather spend my money on my future! ROCK YEAAAAAAAAA!

Realistic work, very nice work... Owh, I feel so ashamed :(
I did learnt some skills in acrylic painting. I didn't even know acrylic can actually paint like watercolor!
Okay, here's my first painting:
I spent a lot of time on painting the red textile, it's actually covered with few layers. Painted it until I fed up.
The apple wasn't like an apple and I FORCED my lecturer to paint an apple on another illustration board for me as reference. LOL.
He said my apple looks like peach. OUCH. :(
It's only 10 marks, so I don't really give a damn already. I focus on my final painting (A2 acrylic painting) instead. :P
Here's my final painting! The title is free, you can just paint whatever you want, as long there's human figure and also graphic.
It's actually a painting represents me.
Mr.Steven, a lecturer of Saito College (my college) did commented my painting. When I just started it with color base. It's amazing when he analysed it and tell what kind of person I am.
He said I'm emotional, I do whatever things according to my mood. I'm impressed man! BINGO! That's me.
I did over night at college with my classmates to do this painting. Over night at college is actually a good and memorable experience! :)
That day we had free pizza as dinner which Ms.Angie treated us. Mr.Steven was there with us, treated us some snacks and crapping around with us. Haha xD
The framing actually costs me 90bucks. T______T My money fly fly fly away~~~
But it's a nice framing :) Perfectly match with my painting! :)
Here's my classmates' works.
This is an awesome painting! I like this! The painter is a girl from CCD, named Vency. :)
The assessment day, the drawing studio looks like an art gallery! LOL. Spot my painting! x)
This is from a girl named Pooi Pooi. She's talented! She has a good drawing skill which I think she should be studying fine art. LOL. She's the most talented student in our illustration class. She has a high expectation in herself. She's a perfectionist too. She spent time on her drawing, she draw one portrait for hourssss... She's serious on her work. An optimistic girl in front of people but actually she's covering up herself. Well well well, let's see her work. :)
Her small painting.
I like Mr.Mok's class. It's fun, interesting yet stress.
I did always look for him to ask questions and stuffs. He's a good lecturer. :)
I heard that seniors said, he used to be more strict and picky.
I don't know why, since our badge, every lecturer changed. They said.
They used to be scarier. LOL. They couldn't teach junior cause they couldn't stand and accept junior's work. (This news is actually freak me out)
Maybe the college hope to not give the student too much pressure, wanna reduce the stress-level? Hmm, who knows?
CIS. Lecturer: Master Choo (Kam Thong).
He's also a humor lecturer yet MEAN.
The way he talk/criticize might be funny, IF you're the one who criticized by him, you know how HURT his words could be.
Once, I was depressed and don't feel like doing CIS work at all. But I forced myself to do it. I am not an irresponsible student. I will and I must do my work. Maybe that's one of the Virgo's characteristics.
BUT. I always do last minute work in CIS. LOL.
It's because I usually spent time on my illustration and also packaging works.
You can always ask him what to do in your work. I like it. At least he would give us guide to do our assignments. Not every lecturer would do so. SERIOUSLY.
Packaging 1. Lecturer: Mr.Travis.
OMG, he's a Super-Perfectionist!
Extremely picky and quite mean SOMETIMES. The way he talk is also funny, just like Master Choo.
He requested 8 sketches for each of the assignments. He loves details. (Who doesn't? I'm just being lazy, lol)
He likes to ask questions ( more than other lecturers do). WHY WHY WHY?
Everything WHY WHY WHY. @______@ Why?
Sometimes he asked some questions that you never thought of it. Something much deeper in your design. He did make student cried. Not me. LOL.
No one can argue with him, I mean, he always WIN.
Well, he's the lecturer, he suppose to win, if not... you might fail in his subject. LOL. Just kidding. No offence.
Like Master Choo, he will give you guides, but only IF YOU ASK HIM.
He wouldn't tell you what he want and no one does. He couldn't be predict, unfathomable guy!!!!
Packaging class was another pressure for me. In his class, I feel so limited, like nobody.
I spent a lot of money on it too!!! I'm so broke because of this subject.
Here's my first assignment, tissue box :)
Guess which one is mine?
My target audience is children.
This is my second assignment, CD Cover.
WESTLIFE! x)
My FINAL. Group Assignment. Label Design.
When I finished packaging assignments,
I feel relieved~~~
