玩樂檳城 Penang trip with friends
Penang trip with college friends!
Departed from KL: 30th Sept 11:50 p.m
Reached destination: 1st Oct 4.30 a.m.
First time taking long distance bus to somewhere else with friends.
The bus is quite comfy, 3 seats a roll.
From KL to Penang, we estimated it would take about 5 hours but midnight bus usually take a shorter time cause the bus driver SPEED. The whole journey was very shaky, I guess the minimum speed was 100km/h.
We reached Sg.Nibong, Penang in the early morning and we released there's no bus and nowhere to eat around there then we decided to take taxi to the mural painting area to have an early breakfast.
We found a restaurant, Long Kee 龙记茶楼 to have dim sim 点心 for breakfast. :)
Penang people eat dim sim without sweet sauce and so the old man knew that I must be KL people. LOL.
After breakfast we carried our bags and walked to Chew Jetty just wanted see sunrise. :)
I feel safe in Penang, it's much safer than KL. I don't really have any fear of bad things would happen on us. Some more we walked in group, 5 of us. I feel safe. :)
The street in the early morning of Georgetown.
One of the mural painting, it got a different feel in the morning where the street lamp shine on it.
Here we are, Chew Jetty 姓周桥.
It's cloudy we barely see the sun. Well, it's almost end of the year which is the rain season, basically everyday is cloudy there.
Taken lots of photo there. The only day I've been taking photos at fact. The next two days were just eat and play, didn't take out my camera and snap here and there.
SUNRISE :D
Selca. Oh well, one who always taking photos of others barely have own photos, I have no choice but doing selca. If not I wouldn't have any photo. LOL
Finally it's officially MORNING. We went to Eng Loh Kopitiam to had breakfast - ROUND 2. It rained while we having our breakfast. Luckily we were not on the street.
Our hotel check-in time was 2pm and so we went to China House for a drink and rest. Our bags ain't light, it's heavy :(
I've been there before, last time when I was in Penang during CNY.
** Their cakes are so tempting :9 **
A tired day, didn't get enough sleep and so after we checked in to Red Inn, we decided to take a nap and rest. We went to Gurney Drive for dinner in the evening. Went there by bus and walked around there. The road was really confusing we were pretty lost how we should take bus to get back to our inn. No idea why is there so many one way road. Usually when we take bus in KL, if you stop at here, you wanted to get back you just cross the road and take the bus at the opposite which this rule only can apply on two-way road. LOL. Asked the bus driver only released we need to walk a distance to the back of the bus stop to take bus back to our area. Then we met a guy from Taiwan who wanted to go to the same area as ours. We walked together and Calvin chatted with him like buddies. That night we went to Chew Jetty for the second time and just wandering around that area. Then, the Taiwanese said goodbye to us and we also got back to Red Inn to bathe and rest.
I just wanted to eat eat eat during holiday. After bathe, I dragged Hui Wah and Nicole to accompany me to buy something to eat as supper. We decided to eat Lok Lok on the street. :)
First time eating Lok Lok and it was nice and joyful. xD
This is Red Inn which we spent our first night in Penang.
The line was SUCKS. Maybe Digi sucks, I couldn't received well. If I wanted a SOS, I confirm die. -_-
The wifi they provided was more like an accessory to me. ELLO, I couldn't even find it. My friend said it kept disconnected and it's totally useless. The room wasn't what we expected, photos can deceive people, photos deceived us. -_- Well, at least it's clean, it's good enough. It's like the guest house that I been before, they provided share toilet and bathroom. A small place which make you feel like home, literally, I prefer my house, at least it's bigger. LOL. The quilt they provided was super thin, thanks god I have my jacket. The breakfast was sausage, omelet with two bread. They don't have ketchup btw and the Chili sauce was sweet. Seriously, I wasn't satisfied. It's way too big difference that we thought. 想象永远是美好的。Imagination/Expectation is always wonderful. But, the fact is always the opposite.
Their service was kind anyway, quite friendly.
Continue with the painting-hunt! :) These two mural paintings are new. Quite new, 'cause I was here during CNY and they aren't here yet.
Went to an Owl theme souvenir shop. I bought some cute little owl key chains. :)
The only thing I brought back from Penang. lol. Really got nothing to buy over there and seriously there's lots of places that we didn't pay visit to.
On the last day in Penang, we were staying at an apartment where nearby Batu Ferrighi Beach so we spent our very last moment in Penang on the beach and play water. :)
Applied how many sunblock also useless, still got tanned but luckily no sunburn.
Luckily I could play water on that day, cause period was near. xD shhhh...
After beach time, packed up and left this beautiful place. Had a pretty rush lunch then rushing to the Terminal Sg.Nibong. Our bus depart at 4.30 pm. Supposed to be, but it delayed to 5 p.m. Bought some bread and snacks cause we gonna have our dinner in the bus. Pretty tired and took a nap in the bus.
On the way back to KL. Sunset :3
Panorama - Sunset in Penang on Day 2.
It was a really great experience and fun trip. What a memorable experience with friends. Never had such trip with friends before. It's very cool, I hope in the future I could have the chance to travel with my dear friends. It's really cool and fun to travel with friends, much cooler than travel with family. LOL. Seriously. The thing is you need to have money to travel. HAHA. I wish to go to other island and do snorkelling! What a well spent holiday, not wasted at all. :) 3 days 2 nights. Hmm, why time could be running faster when you're travelling or having fun? Happy hour is always short but fun. We had fun, we had it all. Enjoyable, Memorable, Unforgettable. SMILE :)
Happy Holiday.
