Life of Internship
Finally got the chance to post about my internship. I just finished my 3 and a half months internship in Y&R Malaysia. It was fun but stressful (sometimes). People there are totally awesome and nice. Where should I start with...?
It wasn't my prior choice to have internship there but fate brought me there. LOL. (nonsense)
To have an internship in an advertising agency was my target and it was also what my lecturer hoped. It was a right choice to have internship in an advertising agency. I've learnt a lot over there and it was the right timing to have internship in Y&R!
At first, I thought it would be a very big company with lots of people. Usually people do expect something like that if they're gonna join one of the top agency. Well, it wasn't what I expected but it doesn't matter anyway. My seat was pretty far from them (most of the people), I considered it as isolated island. It did affected us that less communicate with them. Moreover, I need some time to hang around with people. Not those very chit-chat person on the first day we met. (Unless I've met someone like me, for example another intern that I've met after I've been joining them for a month which is an exception. haha)
The beginning was not so fun cause you wouldn't get much jobs to do. (Whisper: They do have a tendency of not letting people leave early) The first day was sucks, honestly. Be there for 12 hours and did nothing at all. Yes, you heard me, 12 hours, 9am to 9pm. I guess everyone's first day were usually same as mine.
As time goes by, I started to have more works to do, I prefer that than nothing to do. Doing nothing is literally killing me and make me wanna sleep. I rather to spend my time on worthy stuffs than just watch it fade in vain. Then, we all have moved our seats to the other side of the office which is so much better, at least I didn't feel so left out but there's something I don't like which is... everyone can see what's on my monitor. Great, I barely open my facebook since then. Things were getting more interesting, more interns joined in and much more laughters. The greatest thing happened in my internship was involving award projects. I really feel glad that I have the opportunity to join them and earn a credit for that. In that case, I've sacrificed a lot. My time, my energy, and I was fully committed to it. It was pretty exhausting and pressure but the final artworks were totally worth it. No regrets.
This is a black board and I wrote our chinese names on it with friends. haha.
I spent my last day of internship to a TVC shooting. Well, I was just there to watch and learn. I was thrilled yet bored. Haha, complicated combination, ikr. The shooting was end at 3a.m. My bosses told us that after they completed the shooting, they called it WRAP and everybody needs to jump into the swimming pool. SERIOUSLY? But we didn't. haha. All talents were left after they done their shots. In addition, the swimming pool wasn't well maintained, it was really dirty. Anyway, a great experience.

She's my Best Friend in the office, Shrny Chin. We became very close since the day we met. We have so many things in common. They all thought that we are friends before we started our internship. Magical friendship. HAHA. I even slept over at her place, we comforted each other when one of us in our downs. We shared happiness. We called each BITCH. hahahahaha. She lives so damn far and she study in MMU. Guess we would not have much chance to meet up but there's always chance in the future. As long as we still remember each other. I think it's hard to forget a friend like this.
These are the doodles that I drew for my colleagues before I left. (I was bored, fyi)
Yea, I'm gonna miss them.
I might go back to work... who knows?
Haven't decided anything at the moment.
Internship in Y&R was really awesome, despite the stress and pressure.
I can consider myself as a lucky girl. YAY! (Y)
